The Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a warning forecasting rainfall across Punjab until March 20.
A spokesperson for the department said intermittent rain is expected in multiple districts, including Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Talagang, and Gujranwala. Other districts likely to see rainfall include Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Sargodha, Mianwali, Sheikhupura, Gujrat, Khushab, Lahore, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Jhang, and Chiniot.
Additionally, rain is predicted in Bhakkar, Layyah, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Multan on March 18–19, with Kot Addu, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, and Rahim Yar Khan also potentially affected. Authorities noted that rainfall is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa until March 20.
PDMA has advised citizens to take precautionary measures and avoid unnecessary travel. The Meteorological Department has also predicted thundershowers and hailstorms in Karachi on Wednesday and Thursday.
