Riphah International University ( RIU) and ECO Advance Cultural and Academic Connectivity Across the Region

ISLAMABAD: Riphah International University (RIU) hosted Ambassador Muhammad Hassan, President of the Cultural Wing of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), who called on Chancellor Riphah International University, Mr. Hassan Muhammad Khan, during his visit to Pakistan.

The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between Riphah International University and the Economic Cooperation Organization, particularly in connection with the forthcoming Media Literacy & Cultural Seminar, to be jointly hosted by RIU and ECO. The discussion also explored avenues for enhancing academic and cultural linkages and promoting meaningful people-to-people connectivity among ECO member states.

Chancellor Hassan Muhammad Khan appreciated Ambassador Muhammad Hassan’s efforts in bringing this important initiative to Pakistan and reaffirmed Riphah International University’s commitment to fostering sustained academic and cultural cooperation across the ECO region.

He emphasized the university’s role in creating platforms that bring together academia, culture and regional institutions to promote dialogue, knowledge exchange and stronger connections among the people of ECO member states.

As a gesture of friendship and shared commitment, the Chancellor presented a commemorative shield to Ambassador Muhammad Hassan, marking a warm and productive interaction.
