FPSC Reschedules CSS 2027 MPT Amid Protest Call

FPSC Reschedules CSS 2027 MPT Test Amid Protest Call
The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has rescheduled the MCQs-Based Preliminary Test (MPT) for the CSS Competitive Examination 2027.
The test was originally scheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2026. It will now be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
The decision was taken after the announcement of a protest in Islamabad on September 27. FPSC said the new date was chosen for the convenience of CSS CE-2027 candidates and to ensure the test is conducted smoothly.
All other terms and conditions for the MPT will remain unchanged.
The rescheduling comes after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) announced a major protest and long march towards Islamabad for September 27, 2026.
Earlier, FPSC had also temporarily suspended its online applications and registration services for the MPT due to security concerns.
The commission said its web services were placed in read-only mode from 10am on August 13 until noon on August 16 as part of government security measures.
“It is intimated for the information of all concerned that as per Government policy and security measures all web services of FPSC are being made Read-Only Mode to cater against anticipated cyber threats from 13 August, 2026 10:00 AM to 16 August, 2026 12:00 Noon,” read the notice.
“Consequently, online registration/application submission for MPT-2027 will remain temporarily unavailable during this period,” it added.
