Radio personality and co-founder of The Bob & Tom Show, Bob Kevoian, has passed away at the age of 75 after a long battle with cancer. His death was confirmed through an official social media statement from the show, which noted that he died peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

Kevoian had been fighting cancer for approximately three years. According to reports from WXIN (Fox 59 Indianapolis), he was diagnosed with stomach cancer after undergoing routine medical tests in 2023.

In a 2023 podcast interview on Spotify, Kevoian openly discussed his diagnosis and described the emotional impact it had on him and his family. He recalled undergoing a series of medical procedures including a chest X-ray, PET scan, and endoscopic ultrasound, which ultimately confirmed the illness.

His wife, Becky, shared that his initial reaction was not anger or fear, but deep disappointment. She recalled him saying, “I’m so disappointed. It’s gonna ruin my summer.” She added, “Bob’s first response which I will never forget, he wasn’t angry, he wasn’t afraid, he just said I’m so disappointed.”

Kevoian also spoke about his treatment process, which included chemotherapy and radiation therapy over several weeks. He described his early misconceptions about treatment, saying, “When I hear chemo I picture laser beams and burning hair.” He later realized the reality was very different from his expectations.

Despite the challenges, he continued to reflect on his experience with clarity and humor, explaining how doctors advised him to avoid searching for information online and focus on living normally.

Over the course of his illness, Kevoian underwent chemotherapy once a week and radiation therapy for five weeks. His family remained by his side throughout the treatment journey.

After a long and difficult battle with cancer, Bob Kevoian passed away in April 2026, leaving behind a legacy as a pioneering voice in American radio entertainment.
