Pakistan’s Power Surprised Enemy in Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos: Air Chief

Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu said that the enemy was stunned by Pakistan’s strength and skill in Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos in May last year. Addressing the passing-out parade at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul, he said that the efforts of Pakistan’s political and military leadership for global peace are commendable.

He especially appreciated the efforts of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for world peace. He added that Pakistan is a peaceful country and believes in resolving disputes through negotiations. Referring to the Battle of Haq and the Battle of Bunyan-un-Marsoos, he said that everyone witnessed the strategy of the Pakistan Army. He further stated that the Pakistan Air Force not only shot down enemy aircraft but also made history, and any aggression against Pakistan will be met with a strong response.

Addressing the passing-out parade at the Pakistan Military Academy Kakul, Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu said that the efforts of the political and military leadership for peace at the global level are commendable. I especially appreciate the efforts of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for world peace.

The passing-out parade was held at PMA Kakul for cadets of the 153rd PMA Long Course, 38th Technical Graduate Course, 72nd Integrated Course, 15th Mujahid Course, and 27th Lady Cadet Course. Cadets from friendly countries including Iraq, Maldives, Mali, Nepal, Palestine, Qatar, and Sri Lanka also graduated on this occasion. The Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu, served as the Chief Guest and Reviewing Officer of the parade. He inspected the parade and awarded distinguished cadets.

The Sword of Honour was awarded to Academy Senior Under Officer Bilal Nasim of the 153rd PMA Long Course, while the President’s Gold Medal went to Battalion Senior Under Officer Muhammad Saad Musa of the same course. The Chief of Defence Forces Overseas Gold Medal was awarded to Pobin Kunwar from Nepal. The Marksman Medal was given to Gentleman Cadet Masood Ur Rehman. The Chief of Army Staff Cane was awarded to Course Under Officer Haider Bin Abid of the 38th Technical Graduate Course and Sergeant Pir Muhammad Abdullah Shah of the 15th Mujahid Course. The Commandant’s Cane was awarded to Course Under Officer Ali Bin Waqar of the 72nd Integrated Course and Course Under Officer Walia Zeb of the 27th Lady Cadet Course.
