On 21 April 2026, Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies carried out a joint intelligence-based operation in Khyber District after receiving reports about the presence of khwarij in the area.
During the operation, an intense exchange of fire took place. Through skillful action and strong coordination by the security forces, 22 khwarij belonging to Indian-sponsored Fitna-al-Khwarij were sent to hell.
During the encounter, the khwarij resorted to indiscriminate firing due to fear of being captured alive. Their cowardly attack resulted in the martyrdom of a 10-year-old innocent child, causing deep sorrow and anger among local residents.
Security forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from the killed terrorists. These Indian-sponsored khwarij were actively involved in several terrorist activities in the region.
A sanitization operation is still underway to eliminate any remaining khwarij in the area. Pakistan’s Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies remain fully committed to the relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan.
The nation stands united against foreign-sponsored terrorism, and the sacrifice of innocent civilians further strengthens Pakistan’s resolve to completely wipe out this menace from the country.
