The attack has highlighted growing concerns over the security of celebrities and other high-profile individuals whom have been targeted in recent years.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde strongly condemned the incident, saying such acts of intimidation would not be tolerated. He visited Shroff on Sunday evening and said the actor and his mother were shaken by the attack.

Local media reported that two people were injured, including Shroff’s driver.

The incident follows other high-profile attacks in India. In 2024, police arrested two members of a criminal gang in connection with a shooting targeting Salman Khan’s home. Influential politician Baba Siddique was also shot dead in Mumbai that year.

Tiger Shroff initiated his acting career in 2014 with Heropanti. Since then, he has performed in numerous films. Alongside acting, he is passionate about football and plays for Mumbai FC.
