Tiger Shroff Attack: Who Is Anil Pandit and What Is His Alleged Role?

A United Stated based Indian Anil Pandit identified alleged connection to firing and threaten incidents in India. The reported attack on Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai has also been claimed by a group connected with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

As per Indian media reports, Anil Pandit belongs to a village in Panipat, Haryana. Police investigating the suspected role in crimes across Haryana, Delhi and Pune, as well as his reported connections in Canada, Thailand, Dubai and the United States.

Reports suggest that suspect moved from India to Canada in 2023 using a passport. He allegedly later came into contact with Randeep Malik, who is said to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, before moving to California in the United States.

Despite being abroad, Pandit is suspected of coordinating criminal activities in India through a network of alleged shooters. These activities reportedly include several extortion-related shootings in Panipat over the past six months.

Haryana Police and the Special Task Force have arrested suspects allegedly involved in these incidents. The cases have also drawn attention to possible connections between criminal networks operating overseas and individuals carrying out attacks in India.

Pandit’s name has also reportedly surfaced in an investigation into a shooting in Delhi’s Paschim Vihar area. He is accused of being involved in planning an attack at a gym reportedly visited by singer Guru Randhawa.

After the incident happened, the Delhi Police Crime Branch and Special Cell arrested four alleged shooters suspected of having links to Pandit. . According to police sources the suspects had contacted him using Signal and had foreign-made firearms in their possession.

After 15 days, another shooting took place at a jewellery store in Pune. During the investigation, Pandit’s name reportedly emerged again. The suspect and a close associate of Lawrence Bishnoi arrested by Maharashtra Police force who is allegedly involved in the attack.

According to the reports, three alleged attackers in the Pune case were from Rajasthan’s Hanumangarh district and had travelled to the city to carry out the shooting.

The reported cases have increased scrutiny of suspected links between overseas crime figures, local shooters and extortion networks. Anil Pandit’s alleged involvement in the cases and suspected ties to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang have not yet been legally established and remain subject to investigation.
