Heavy Vehicles Banned from Entering Islamabad
Islamabad: The traffic police have issued an important traffic advisory regarding multiple road closures and diversions in the city, especially around the Red Zone and Expressway.
According to the advisory, the Red Zone and Extended Red Zone will remain completely closed for all types of traffic. The Islamabad Expressway from Korral to Zero Point will also remain closed for all traffic movement.
The traffic police further stated that Srinagar Highway may also be closed to traffic at different times depending on the situation.
Heavy traffic of all kinds entering Islamabad from any route will not be allowed. Heavy vehicle owners have been advised to avoid traveling towards Islamabad to save time and inconvenience.
Due to diversions, traffic coming from Faisal Avenue towards Zero Point will be redirected towards Ninth Avenue.
If Park Road to Club Road is closed, traffic will be diverted towards Tramri Chowk.
For citizens traveling between Bhara Kahu and Rawalpindi, the traffic police have advised using Korang Road, Bani Gala, and Lehtrar Road as alternative routes.
Citizens are requested to cooperate with traffic authorities and plan their travel accordingly.
