Motorcyclists face Rs 2,000 fine without indicators
In Lahore, authorities have decided to take strict action to improve road safety. The Punjab Traffic Police has announced a fine of Rs2,000 for motorcyclists who ride without working indicators.
Officials have warned citizens to make sure their motorcycles have proper turn indicators and that they use them while driving. If they fail to do so, they will face strict penalties.
According to a Traffic Police spokesperson, not using indicators is not just a traffic violation but also a major reason for road accidents. When riders turn suddenly or change lanes without giving a signal, other drivers are not aware in time, which can lead to serious accidents.
Traffic officials also said that fixing or replacing indicators is not expensive. It usually costs around Rs400, which is a small amount compared to the value of human life. They urged people to take this issue seriously.
In addition, the Traffic Police has stressed the importance of wearing helmets and keeping motorcycles in good condition.
Authorities have made it clear that strict action will be taken against those who break traffic rules. Checking has been increased across Punjab to make roads safer. Citizens have been asked to act responsibly and follow the law.
