Pak Army Responds to Cross-Border Firing in South Waziristan, Multiple Afghan Posts Destroyed in Angoor Adda Operation

In a major border incident, Afghan firing in the Angoor Adda Zul Khel area of South Waziristan prompted a swift and strong response from the Pakistan Army. Security forces carried out effective retaliatory action, destroying multiple Afghan posts and preventing infiltration attempts by militant groups.

Military sources confirmed that timely and alert action by the Pakistan Army foiled all infiltration efforts by Fitna-al-Khawarij elements. Following the failed attempt, Afghan Taliban forces allegedly targeted civilian areas.

As a result of the firing, three civilians, including two women, were injured and immediately shifted to Wana Hospital for medical treatment.

The incident occurred during ongoing security operations under “Operation Azm-e-Istehkam,” after which Afghan forces reportedly resorted to targeting civilians in a state of panic following operational setbacks.

Locals strongly condemned the firing incident and called for a decisive response from the Pakistan Army to ensure border security and civilian protection.
