Petrol, Diesel Expected Prices for This Week

Petrol, Diesel Expected Prices for This Week
The federal government has increased petroleum prices for the current week, pushing fuel rates closer to the Rs. 400 per litre mark amid rising global oil prices.
According to the latest official notification effective from May 1, 2026, the price of petrol has been set at Rs. 399.86 per litre, while high-speed diesel (HSD) is now priced at Rs. 399.58 per litre.
This weekly adjustment reflects a noticeable upward trend in fuel costs. Petrol prices have increased by approximately Rs. 6.51 per litre, while diesel has seen a sharper rise of around Rs. 19.39 per litre.
Market indicators suggest that large fluctuations are currently unlikely, with experts expecting prices to either remain stable or see only minor adjustments in the coming days.
The latest increase comes as global oil markets continue to fluctuate, directly impacting domestic fuel pricing in Pakistan and raising concerns over inflationary pressure on transport and goods.
