Iran FM Discusses Regional Issues with Counterparts

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has held separate telephone conversations with his counterparts from Iraq, Turkey, and Qatar to discuss regional issues and the latest geo-political and international developments, including the Pakistan mediated talks with the United States.

Araghchi spoke with Fuad Hussein of Iraq, Hakan Fidan of Turkey, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani of Qatar on Friday.

The Iraqi Foreign Ministry’s media office announced that Araghchi congratulated Hussein on his reappointment as Iraq’s foreign minister.

During the call, Araghchi discussed the latest developments regarding ongoing negotiations between Tehran and Washington, noting progress made in the previous round, particularly concerning a new negotiating document.

Both sides emphasized the role of Pakistan in this context, appreciating Islamabad’s efforts to support the success of the negotiations, and also noted Qatar’s participation in this stage.
