Powerful Meteor Explosion Shakes Northeastern US, NASA Reports

WASHINGTON: A meteor entering Earth’s atmosphere exploded over the northeastern United States on Saturday, constructing an intense sonic explosion comparable to almost 300 tons of TNT, according to the U.S. space agency NASA, reported at 31 May 2026 (WAFA).

As per Us space agency, said the fireball broke apart over northeastern Massachusetts and southeastern New Hampshire, north of Boston, at around 2:06 p.m. local time (18:06 GMT).

NASA explained that the meteor was not linked with any active meteor shower and was unsurprisingly stirring thing, not space debris or a satellite re-entry.
