Prince Harry’s Fear of Being Outshined by Prince William’s Family

02 June, 2026 14:15

A royal biographer has claimed, Prince Harry feared his brother Prince William’s three children would “overshadow” him.

Prince William and Princess Kate children, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, eight, just like their uncle, they all grown up in the public eye. The spotlight has been on George in recent months because he is now on board to his secondary studies in September at a still unrevealed school.

Among all the rumors about the future studies for royal kids, Andrew Morton, a royal biographer claimed that Prince Harry has long been afraid about his niece and nephews concealing him. He claimed to the Daily Mail’s Palace Confidential, “The issue that always concerned Prince Harry, that he would be overshadowed by his brother’s children, is coming true”.

As well as a biographer debated that, Oundle School in Northamptonshire as a latent end point for the young royal’s studies.

Recently, the father of Prince George, Prince of Wales reveled that his eldest son at this time embark at Lambrook School in Berkshire and will soon move on to a secondary school that has not yet been disclosed. George attends the same co-educational preparatory school as his two siblings, who still have a number of years left there.

There is various assumption concerning the choice between Eton College, a leading contender and his father’s school, and Marlborough College in Wiltshire, the Princess of Wales’ alma mater.

Managing editor of The Good Schools Guide Melanie Sanderson said, that “the Waleses could be “holding multiple places at different schools”.

When asked if parents must quickly secure private school places and whether the procedure differs for the Waleses, Melanie Sanderson said “Well, for ordinary people, they have to say ‘yes’ fairly quickly so their children would be accepted. Ordinary people who have been offered places would be accepting those places for secondary schools in the next few weeks.”

Though there’s not a “huge amount of time to accept” a school place, Melanie said she suspects “the normal rules possibly don’t apply” for the royals.

She explained, “I feel as though the Waleses may be holding multiple places at different schools. It sort of feels as though if they had made a definitive decision, somebody would know and it would be out there.”
