PAF and Navy Pilots Martyred in Trainer Aircraft Crash Near Mardan, ISPR Confirms

A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) trainer aircraft crashed near Mardan on Monday during a routine training flight, with PAF and Navy pilots martyred in the accident, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The military’s media wing identified the deceased officers as Flight Lieutenant Muhammad Qasim Abdullah of the PAF and Lieutenant Taha Abbasi of the Pakistan Navy.

The statement further noted that Air Headquarters has formed a board of inquiry to investigate and determine the cause of the crash.

Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, along with the chiefs of the armed forces and personnel across all ranks of Pakistan’s military, expressed deep sorrow over the loss of the two officers and conveyed heartfelt condolences to their grieving families.
