Kumkum Bhagya Actor Sanchita Ugale Dies by Suicide

15 June, 2026 14:05

The Indian television industry is currently in shock and sadness after the sudden death of actress Sanchita Ugale. She was known for her role in “Kumkum Bhagya” and reportedly died at the age of 30 on June 15, 2026. According to reports, her death is being treated as an alleged suicide.

Her sudden passing has left fans confused and heartbroken, especially because just hours before, she had shared a lively Instagram reel where she was lip-syncing to the song “Inaam.” Now, questions are being raised about what led to such a tragic moment.

Police have started an investigation to understand the exact cause of her death. So far, the official details have not been confirmed.

After her death, an old interview of Sanchita Ugale has also resurfaced, where she spoke openly about her struggles with work pressure and personal life balance.

About a year before her passing, she had shared that her busy shooting schedule made life very difficult. She said she used to work 17 to 18 hours a day, which left her with very little time for sleep, health, family, and friends. She also mentioned feeling disconnected from loved ones, even though she tried to stay in touch in small ways. She said:

“Right now, managing my personal life is a bit difficult. With 17 to 18 hours of shoot daily and travel time, I hardly get any proper sleep. I’m not able to take care of my health or spend time with family and friends. But I chose this field, and I’m happy with what I do. On set, I at least try to eat well and get some rest when possible. I also stay connected with my family– I manage in small ways.”

In the same interview, she also talked about her early struggles in the television industry. She explained that as a newcomer, she often faced rejection and was judged based on her social media following. It took her almost three years of struggle before she started getting roles.

She said:

“At auditions, people would question me about my followers on social media and many other things. After two and a half to three years of facing all that, I finally started getting roles. I know this is just the beginning.”

Sanchita also shared that she came from a humble, lower-middle-class family and did not receive support at the beginning of her career. She even used to tell her family she was going to tuition while actually attending theatre practice. She later said that this training helped her build her acting skills. Once she started getting work, her family eventually supported her dream.

Her journey reflects the struggles many newcomers face in the entertainment industry, from rejection and pressure to balancing personal and professional life.
