Faysal Quraishi and Aijaz Aslam React After Mishi Khan Calls Them Out

Pakistani famous celebrities Faysal Quraishi and Aijaz Aslam have responded the criticism from actress and activist Mishi Khan after she asked their stance on the debate involving veteran actor Syed Mohammad Ahmed.

Having openly supported Syed Mohammad Ahmed, Mishi Khan criticized Faysal Quraishi and Aijaz Aslam for seeming to support Faizan Sheikh who was seen making fun of the senior actor with Fahad Sheikh. According to Mishi Khan, Faysal defined Fahad’s apology as “greatness,” arguing that make an apology after being mistaken is a basic obligation, not something surprising. She also called out Aijaz Aslam for taking a neutral stance arguing that people should openly condemn wrongdoing rather than avoid taking a stand.

In response to Mishi Khan’s criticism, Faysal Quraishi and Aijaz Aslam shared their side of the story in a video posted by Sana, Faysal Quraishi’s wife. Faysal accepted that describing it as “greatness” was not the right way to express what he meant. Explained that his comment was meant to praise Syed Mohammad Ahmed for forgiving those involved in the controversy. Meanwhile, Aijaz Aslam clear up that he was humbly evaluating the dispute and not backing either side when he said he was neutral.

However, many social media users were not convinced by their explanation. Several accused the actors of changing their stance after facing online criticism, while others said remaining neutral in such situations only encourages wrong behavior instead of standing for what is right.
