Bahrain Requests Emergency UN Security Council Session Over Reported Iranian Attacks

Bahrain reacted strongly to the alleged attacks by Iran involving missiles and drones, nd demanded an emergency session of the UN Security Council.

According to Bahrain’s Foreign Ministry, The latest attack is part of Iran’s ongoing efforts that threaten its sovereignty and the safety of its people and region. The ministry stated that, the incident is part of multiple ongoing attacks, not just one.

The statement called on the UN Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities and ensure the effective implementation of Resolution 2817 of 2026, take immediate measures to stop the alleged aggression and ensure accountability of the responsible elements.

Bahrain added that Iran is continuously ignoring the demands of the international community, which has made a strong and clear international response inevitable.

The government of Bahrain stated that, it backs peace in the region but will take all required actions to safeguard its sovereignty and national security.

It should be noted that relations between Iran and the Gulf countries are once again strained due to recent tensions in the Middle East, while various countries are trying to bring the situation under control through continuous diplomatic efforts.
