Iran Leader: Era of Foreign Domination Over, Enemies Will Not Return

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei has said that the era of foreign domination over Iran is over and will never return. He made the remarks in a message on Monday marking Sacred Defense Week, which commemorates Iran’s 1980–88 war with Iraq, as well as the second anniversary of the assassination of former Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

Ayatollah Khamenei said foreign forces once treated Iran’s southern waters as a “playground,” but now avoid moving beyond the Arabian Sea because of what he described as painful blows inflicted by Iranian fighters and defenders of the Strait of Hormuz. He said attempts to challenge Iran had resulted in losses for those who undertook them.

The Leader further stated that foreign forces would eventually be pushed out of the Arabian Sea as well, emphasizing Iran’s determination to defend its sovereignty and strategic waterways. His remarks came as Iran commemorated the sacrifices made during the Sacred Defense period and paid tribute to those who died in conflicts involving the country.
