Palestinian Journalist Detained During Israeli Raid in West Bank

A Palestinian prisoners’ advocacy group says Israeli forces have detained Palestinian journalist Suad al-Khawaja during a raid in the occupied West Bank. According to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Media Office, Israeli troops entered the town of Na’lin, west of Ramallah, in the early hours of Monday.

The group said soldiers searched al-Khawaja’s family home, carried out extensive damage inside the property, and detained the journalist before taking her to an undisclosed location. It added that no formal charges or judicial warrant were presented at the time of her arrest.

Suad al-Khawaja is known for her reporting on developments across the occupied West Bank, including coverage of violence involving Israeli settlers. Israeli authorities had not immediately commented on the reported detention.
