King Charles III honours Scottish traditions during Holyrood Week

To celebrates Scottish culture, King Charles and other member of royal family stay in the Scotland

On Monday, For Royal Week, Royal family shared a look back at the tradition in which the monarch celebrating Scottish culture before the appearance of King Charles in Scotland.

Royal family explained Royal Week also known as Holyrood Week, and its significance, through their Instagram accounts by sharing numerous pictures

“Originally founded as an Augustinian monastery in 1128, Holyroodhouse has witnessed centuries of Royal history, acting as the Sovereign’s official residence in Scotland since the 16th Century. Thousands of visitors are welcomed to the Palace each year to explore the historic State Apartments and beautiful gardens.”

Holyrood Week always begins on the forecourt of Holyrood Palace with the Ceremony of the Keys. During the ceremony, the Lord Provost greets the King in Edinburgh and symbolically hands over the keys to the city, welcoming him to “your ancient and hereditary kingdom of Scotland.
