Protester Makes Allegations About Conditions at JAAC Sit-In

A participant who said he recently returned from the sit-in in Rawalakot has made a series of allegations regarding the conditions at the protest, claiming that some attendees were prevented from leaving and that armed individuals were present at the site.
The individual, identified as Muhammad Usman, alleged that men carrying weapons were present at the sit-in and that participants attempting to leave had their vehicle keys confiscated. He also claimed that drug use and trafficking were taking place within the protest area and expressed concerns about the safety of those still attending the demonstration.
Usman appealed to the authorities to take steps to facilitate the safe return of people who, he claimed, wished to leave the sit-in. Organizers of the protest had not publicly responded to the allegations.
