AJK Government Accuses Banned Action Committee of Violence and Looting

A spokesperson for the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government alleged that armed groups associated with a banned action committee engaged in violent activities, including looting trucks carrying food supplies. In a statement, the spokesperson claimed that such incidents had created fear among transporters, with truck drivers now reluctant to enter the region due to security concerns.
The spokesperson further said that authorities were working to clear roads and restore safe movement of goods and traffic as quickly as possible. He added that law enforcement agencies were taking steps to ensure the protection of supply lines and the resumption of normal transport activity across affected areas.
Allegations were also made regarding an attack in Rawalakot, where the spokesperson claimed that police personnel were fired upon by members of the banned committee, resulting in the deaths of three officers and officials said investigations and security operations were ongoing.
