Sindh Interior Minister Reviews CTD Operations, Pledges Modernization Support

Sindh Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar conducted a detailed visit to the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) headquarters in Karachi, where he was received by Sindh Inspector General of Police Javed Alam Odho. CTD DIG Ghulam Azfar Mahesar briefed the minister on ongoing operations and measures being taken against terrorism.

During the visit, Lanjar directed officials to submit comprehensive recommendations outlining available resources and additional requirements. He said the Sindh government would provide all possible support to equip law enforcement agencies with modern technology and enhance their capabilities.

The interior minister said the CTD was at the forefront of the fight against terrorism and that strengthening the institution was essential for maintaining peace in the province. He emphasized the need to further improve CTD capabilities through modern weapons, intelligence resources, forensic facilities, and technical support, while reaffirming a zero-tolerance policy against terrorist elements.
