Leepa Valley Residents in AJK Reject Banned Action Committee's Strike Call
Residents of Leepa Valley in Azad Jammu and Kashmir have rejected a strike call issued by a banned committee and expressed support for Pakistan and the Pakistan Army.
Local residents said they would not take part in any activities that could disturb peace or law and order in the area.
They said they remain committed to the beliefs of their ancestors and would not support any group working against Pakistan or the Pakistan Army.
According to residents, markets remained open and traffic continued as normal after the strike call was ignored.
They said that while people in Indian-administered Kashmir continue to face difficulties, the Pakistan Army is providing security and protection in Azad Kashmir.
Residents also stated that they support Pakistan and believe the country’s armed forces play an important role in national security and defense.
They added that they have never joined and will not join any movement against Pakistan or its armed forces.
Local residents and traders said that such protest calls often cause financial losses for businesses and create unnecessary problems for the public.
