Benny Blanco Explains Why He Kept Selena Gomez Relationship Private

An American record producer Benny Blanco and an American actress, singer, songwriter, businesswoman, and producer Selena Gomez kept their relationship private before going public. The couple pair waited before going public, they discussed how both of them would handle the attention and scrutiny that comes with fame.

Music producer talking with Spanish newspaper El Pais in an interview in which he revealed about his relationship with Gomez, his thought about recognition, and his upcoming Spanish-language album Hermoso.

Blanco opened about that the duo kept their personal romance out from spotlight almost eight or nine months before making it public. He added that Gomez once asked him if he was sure about taking their relationship into the public eye, as she understood if he preferred to remain friends.

As per Blanco revealing, even with the pressure of public attention, they mutually chose to take their relationship forward. He credited their close friends and family for standing by them before they became a public couple.

The thing Blanco highlighted that before make it public, Gomez’s level of public recognition was an important factor they discussed, especially after rising to popularity through Disney Channel, she went on to make a name for herself as both a singer and actress. She has received multiple Grammy nominations and established major acknowledgement for her role and producing work on Only Murders in the Building.

Blanco and Gomez officially became husband and wife on September 27, 2025, nearly two years after announcing their relationship.

Blanco also address about the attention surrounding his personal life, he still adjusting to the pressure of social media. He said he prefers to keep his private life away from constant public discussion but occasionally shares moments with his wife or personal interests.

Despite the couple’s private relationship, Blanco stuck on his upcoming Spanish-language album Hermoso preparation which will release on Auguest 14 influences on different Latin music such as cumbia. Gomez is also rumored to appear on the album.

Along with his forthcoming album the singer also focus on his biography and self-help book F–k Failure on September 15, will elaborate about his journey and encourage people to follow their dreams.
