Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed it carried out new missile and drone attacks on US military bases in Kuwait and Jordan and also said it shot down a US MQ-9 drone.
The IRGC said it launched a joint missile and drone attack on the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait.
According to Iranian forces, the eighth phase of Operation Nasr 2 targeted a US air defence radar system and an area where American troops were gathered.
The IRGC accused Kuwait of allowing its territory to be used for US attacks against Iran and called on the Kuwaiti people to demand the withdrawal of American troops.
Iranian forces also claimed they shot down an advanced US MQ-9 drone after it entered the airspace over the southwestern city of Andimeshk using a new air defence system.
At the same time, Iran activated its air defence systems over Tehran and Pakdasht. Explosions were later reported in Semnan and Parchin.
Iran also claimed it carried out drone strikes on the US Al Azraq Air Base in Jordan, targeting communication systems, fuel depots, and a radar site. Tehran said the attacks were in response to recent US strikes on Iranian military bases.
