PML-N Parliamentary Party Meeting on Government Formation in Azad Kashmir

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) parliamentary party held a meeting to discuss government formation in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), but no final decision was reached on the new leader of the house, according to sources. The parliamentary party has reportedly entrusted PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif with the authority to select the new leader, and he will hold further consultations with senior party leaders before making a decision.

Sources said the name of the new AJK leader of the house is expected to be announced within the next two to three days. According to PML-N sources, Shah Ghulam Qadir is currently the leading candidate for the position of AJK prime minister and enjoys the confidence of some senior party leaders.

PML-N leadership congratulated the successful candidates following the AJK elections and expressed its best wishes to them. The party is expected to finalize the government formation process through consultations and consensus among its parliamentary leadership.
