Terrorist Attack on Government Installations Foiled in Mashkel

RAWALPINDI: Security forces have foiled an attempt by armed attackers to target government installations in Mashkel, forcing them to flee the area after a timely response.

The local administration said, according to the Assistant Commissioner of Mashkel, the attackers have a shot to target police amenities, a Customs warehouse and other government erections in the area.

Security personnel from Frontier Corps Balochistan took swift action after learning about the attack. The security forces’ effective response halted the attack and forced the armed men to flee.

During the operation, security forces recovered weapons, vehicles and motorcycles left behind by the attackers. A large quantity of ammunition was also found at the site.

The Assistant Commissioner said the security forces’ prompt response helped prevent damage to the targeted government installations. The operation also resulted in the recovery of equipment and vehicles reportedly used by the attackers.
