Iranian Unity Foiled US-Israeli Plans, Hezbollah Chief Claims

BEIRUT: Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem has claimed that the unity, resistance and steadfastness of the Iranian people prevented the United States and Israel from achieving their objectives through military operations against Iran.

According to Press TV, Qassem made the remarks in a speech marking Unity Week, praising the solidarity and resilience demonstrated by the Iranian people and various segments of society.

He said national unity, resistance and steadfastness were essential to thwarting hostile plans and preventing adversaries from achieving their objectives.

Iran’s Resistance Highlighted

The Hezbollah chief claimed that the United States and Israel had failed to achieve their desired objectives during different stages of military operations against Iran.

According to Qassem, the unity and resistance of the Iranian people played a significant role in frustrating the plans of the two countries.

He referred to joint US-Israeli military operations against Iran in June 2025 and February 2026, while also describing US strikes on Iran in July as part of the same confrontation.

Qassem said that as long as people remain committed to defending their rights, homeland and sovereignty, their adversaries cannot easily achieve their goals.

He added that continuing resistance despite difficulties, sacrifices and casualties could undermine hostile plans and ambitions.

Regional Tensions Continue

The Hezbollah leader also highlighted the solidarity shown by different segments of Iranian society, saying national unity had remained intact despite continued military pressure on Iran.

His remarks come as the effects of the recent military tensions involving Iran, the United States and Israel continue to influence the security and political situation across the region.

Qassem’s comments further underscored Hezbollah’s support for Iran while criticising US and Israeli military actions against the Islamic Republic.
