Pakistani actor Sohail Sameer latest short film ‘Doosri Aurat’ has gone viral due to a bold scene from the his short film, and become the hot topic of social media debate.

In the Oriental Entertainment suspense thriller, the actor filmed a romantic sequence with his on-screen love interest. The scene contain intense love which shows hugs, kisses and suggestive exchanges, the scene soon attracted widespread attention online.

As clips from the film spread online, viewers shared mixed reactions. Some criticised the scene and questioned whether such content is suitable for Pakistani entertainment. Others compared it with scenes commonly seen in Turkish and Indian productions, while some users were surprised to see such content in a Pakistani project.

The controversy also sparked discussion about TV regulations, and social media users also raised questions about PEMRA’s role, asking PEMRA should take notice if such scenes are aired on TV. Some social media users mockingly think that the viral video could be AI-generated.
