Gal Gadot Steps Away From Wonder Woman 3 — Here’s the Reason

The Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot unveiled about her decision to step back from the iconic role, citing family responsibilities as a major reason for not taking on another DC project.

Godot sharing her concern with Josh Horowitz in Happy Sad Confused show, in which revealing that returning for Wonder Woman 3 would no longer fit her life. As a mother of four, she explained that the project would require her to spend a long period away from her family, which would be difficult to manage because of her children’s education and other responsibilities.

“For me to go to do another Wonder Woman, I am not sure I would at this point in my life with four children and different schools and all of that,” Gadot said.

Gadot’s remarks follow her recent comments on the cancellation of Wonder Woman 3 and Henry Cavill’s departure as Superman. After years of uncertainty surrounding her DC future, Gadot has confirmed that she will no longer play the iconic role.

Godat also highlighted actress Kate Winslet advice during interview, which is about maintaining a successful career with family life and motherhood. The actress said Winslet told her that everyone has the freedom to keep working or step away, and there is nothing wrong with either decision.

“She was like, ‘You just do or you don’t.’ And that’s fine, too,”

She also shared that she does not have a long-term career plan, preferring to go with the flow and follow her intuition.

“I’m not the type of person that has a 10-year planner,” she said. “I’m much more, I go with the flow. I act from my instincts and my intuitions.”

At first Gal Godat played Diana Prince role in Batman v Superamn: Dawn of Justice in 2016. Then showcased her talent on DCEU films, with her final appearance as the character coming The Flash in 2023.

Now, an upcoming Wonder Woman film at presently in development at DC Studios, with Ana Nogueira penning the screenplay. The project still does not have a director or release date.
