Nation Pays Tribute to Captain Osama Bin Arshad’s Ultimate Sacrifice

On Defence and Martyrs’ Day, September 6, 2026, the nation pays tribute to the brave son of Pakistan Army, Captain Osama Bin Arshad, who sacrificed his life for the country.

Captain Osama Bin Arshad embraced martyrdom on July 9, 2024, while serving his country. He was commissioned into the Air Defence in 2020 and was known for stepping forward during difficult situations and helping others.

Lieutenant Colonel Owais described Captain Osama as an inspiring and exemplary officer for soldiers and fellow officers. He was a highly professional soldier, a caring mentor and a brave officer.

During the unit’s relocation to North Waziristan in December 2023, Captain Osama handled administrative responsibilities with great skill. Volunteering to lead from the front during operations had become a defining quality of his service.

According to Naik Ali Hassan, soldiers led by Captain Osama left for their post at around 4 a.m. on July 9, 2024. At around 9 a.m., terrorists carried out an improvised explosive device attack.

Captain Osama bore the impact of the blast and embraced martyrdom while protecting his fellow soldiers.

His story is a lasting example of duty, courage and selfless sacrifice for his comrades and the country. His sacrifice will always be remembered.
