Fire Breaks Out at KMC Headquarters in Karachi, Mayor’s Office Completely Burnt

KARACHI: A fire broke out at the headquarters of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) near the City Court on Tuesday, resulting in the complete destruction of Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab’s office.

According to KMC officials, the fire started inside the mayor’s office area. No casualties were reported in the incident.

Fire brigade officials said emergency teams were dispatched to the KMC headquarters after the blaze was reported.

According to the fire department, the fire originated in a kitchen adjacent to the mayor’s office and subsequently spread to the office, causing extensive damage.

Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control and extinguish it.

Officials said there was no loss of life, while the extent of damage to office equipment and other property is being assessed.

The cause of the fire has not yet been officially determined.
