US Begins Moving Damaged Helicopters From Jordan Air Base, Iranian Media Reports

AMMAN: The US military has begun moving damaged helicopters and other military assets from the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, according to Iranian media reports.

Iranian sources said American forces had started an emergency relocation of helicopters and other defence equipment from the Jordanian air base following recent ballistic missile attacks by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

According to the reports, US forces are shifting military assets to what they consider safer locations amid heightened security concerns following the Iranian attacks.

Iranian media reported that some of the helicopters being removed from Muwaffaq Salti Air Base were badly damaged or destroyed during recent Iranian missile and drone strikes.

US personnel are reportedly transporting the damaged helicopters and their wreckage away from the base for repair, assessment and security purposes.

The reported movement is being presented by Iranian sources as evidence of the impact of the recent attacks on the US military presence in Jordan.

According to Iranian sources, the Pentagon’s reported decision to relocate damaged aircraft and other military equipment demonstrates the extent of the damage caused to American military infrastructure in Jordan.

Tehran has repeatedly said its missile and drone operations are capable of targeting US military facilities across the region.

The reported movements from Muwaffaq Salti Air Base come amid heightened tensions between Iran and the United States, with American military facilities across the Middle East remaining under increased security measures.
