Iran Says Indigenous Defense Industry Cannot Be Destroyed

Iran’s Ministry of Defense has reaffirmed that the country’s defense industry is fully indigenous, deeply rooted and driven by the knowledge and capabilities of Iranian youth. In a statement issued on Thursday, the ministry said the domestic defense sector had been developed through the expertise of the younger generation and stressed that the industry would continue advancing despite external pressure.

“The industry will proceed with its path stronger, more vibrant, smarter and more advanced than before,” the ministry said, while hinting at further advances in Iran’s military capabilities. “Soon, you will see a tip of this iceberg,” it added, suggesting that additional defense achievements could be unveiled in the future.

Iran has increasingly relied on domestically produced weapons and ammunition in responding to recent US-Israeli military attacks. Iranian officials and military analysts have highlighted the role of locally developed missiles, drones and air-defense systems in strengthening the country’s deterrence capabilities and reducing its dependence on foreign military technology.
