Iran Ready to Respond Forcefully to Any Aggression, IRGC Commander Says

TEHRAN: Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Ground Forces Mohammad Karami has said Iran is fully prepared to respond forcefully to any possible hostile action or aggression.

Karami said Iranian forces were ready to deal with any situation and had the capability to respond decisively to any potential threat.

He stressed that Iran was maintaining a high level of preparedness and would take an appropriate response in the event of any hostile move.

Meanwhile, a large rally was held in Tehran, marching from Imam Hussein Square to Revolution Square.

People from different sectors participated in the demonstration, including members of combat battalions associated with the “Jaan Fida” campaign.

According to Iranian media, around 313,000 people have been mobilised under the campaign as part of preparations to confront potential threats facing the country.

Addressing the rally, Basij Organisation chief Hossein Taeb described the Jaan Fida campaign as a major example of public participation in Iran.

He said the campaign reflected the steadfastness of the Iranian people and their determination to defend the country.

Iranian officials said the initiative is aimed at strengthening national security, demonstrating popular mobilisation and increasing preparedness to deal with possible external threats.

The statements from Iranian military officials come amid heightened regional tensions and continued concerns over possible further military escalation.

Iranian authorities have repeatedly stressed that the country’s armed forces remain prepared to defend its territory and respond to any aggression.

The latest mobilisation and statements by senior commanders underline Tehran’s emphasis on military readiness, national unity and public participation in confronting potential security threats.
