Charles Spencer Breaks Silence on Prince William and Prince Harry’s Feud

The late Princess Diana’s brother Charles Spencer has shared his thoughts on ongoing tension between his nephews, Prince William and Prince Harry, making it clear that he supports both brother rather choosing side.

Spencer spoke about their tense relationship during an interview with the BBC while promoting his new book, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister. He said there is a view that he supports Harry, but syaing that he is on the side of both of his late sister Princess Diana’s sons.

Spencer said he would be there for either William or Harry if they needed him. He also admitted that there are “a lot of reasons on both sides” behind their falling-out and said he hopes they can resolve their differences one day.

While talking to the interviewer, Spencer also talk over his new book and his pronouncement to contain personal memories about the Royal Family. He defined writing the book as a duty because he was an eyewitness to history.

Spencer said he had preferred not to disclose certain things he knows about King Charles, that were intentionally left out of the book because they were not related. He made it clear that he was not trying to threaten King Charles with his remarks.

He also stated his concern about Harry’s security, saying he personally concerns about the Duke of Sussex not having police protection despite his military background. He associated the media attention close Harry and Meghan Markle with the behavior Princess Diana handled during her lifetime.

Spencer also repeated his claim about a conversation with Charles following Diana’s death. He alleged that Charles became angry during a discussion about Diana’s funeral and told him, “We’ll forget her soon enough.” Spencer said he was shaken by the comment and ended the call.

Buckingham Palace has denied the claims. In a statement, the Palace said grief can disturb memory and judgment, even many years after a loss.

Royal experts have also discussed how William and Harry might view Spencer’s revelations. Some suggest that both brothers may prefer to protect their mother’s legacy from renewed family disputes.

It remains unclear whether Spencer’s comments will affect his relationships with William and Harry. Harry has previously stayed with his uncle during visits to the UK, while Spencer has said he wants both brothers to be happy and reconcile.
