Presley Gerber Dies at 27 as Past Mental Health Struggles Resurface

Presley Gerber, brother of actress and model Kaia, passed away at the age of 27. The model reportedly died at a rehab facility on September 20. The post-mortem of the body is underway.

Gerber previously spoke about his past struggle of substance abuse. In 2024, he revealed that, he was battling a serious opiate addiction and survived a near-fatal fentanyl overdose that resulted in him being in a coma for several days.

After his sudden passing, an old statement of him has resurfaced about dealing with mental health due to his addiction.

In December 2025, Presley dropped a video on his Instagram, where he admitted taking multiple anti-depressants to treat panic attacks.

In the clip, he confessed, “Unfortunately, I’ve had a lot of loss in many different forms recently, so that is not an excuse, but it’s the reason why I am where I’m at now,

He continued, “So you feel like you’re not alone, because that is how I feel most of the time and I have a feeling that if I say all of this, a lot of people will at least know that there’s someone else going through it,” he continued.

“And the second thing is, hopefully I find some people out here and are willing to help or know someone that can help”, said Gerber.

Earlier today, his sister Kaia released a joint statement confirmed the 27-year-old’s sudden demise. They announced Presley’s death and urged for privacy in this painful time.
