Faysal Quraishi Shares Strong Views on Married Daughters
Actor Faysal Quraishi has raised up his voice against the outdated belief of not to welcome married daughters back home, while she is alive.
Over the years, Faysal Quraishi has appeared in numerous popular Pakistani dramas, including Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishan, Main Abdul Qadir Hoon, Bashar Momin, Muqaddar, Khaie, Haiwaan, Farq, Hook, Behroopia, Bheegi Palkain and Fitoor. He was recently appreciated for his role as Kamran in Case No. 9. The actor is also known for hosting Ramzan transmissions and has recently drawn attention with his impressive weight loss.
The actor is presently get ready for the release of his Punjabi film Mango Jutt, set to hit the big screen on October 16.
During a recent appearance on Gup Shab, where he was promoting the film, Faysal responded to host Vasay Chaudhary about his earlier remarks concerning married daughters.
The actor strongly criticised the belief that a daughter should not return to her parents’ home after marriage, even if she faces abuse or mistreatment.
“I am completely against the mindset where people say, ‘Once you marry off your daughter, she should only return in a coffin,’” Faysal said.

He asked how parents could turn away from their daughters after raising them with love and care. He also stressed that families should support daughters who experience violence or injustice in their marriages rather than refusing to take them back.
During the discussion, Faysal praised a drama featuring Mawra Hocane in which Shamil Khan’s character supported her. He initially referred to it as Mohib Mirza’s drama while recalling the storyline.
