Ishaq Dar, Bahrain Foreign Minister Discuss Bilateral Ties and Regional Developments at UNGA

NEW YORK: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The two foreign ministers discussed bilateral relations, including preparations for the forthcoming 3rd Session of the Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Ministerial Commission.

Pakistan-Bahrain Bilateral Cooperation

Ishaq Dar and Al Zayani exchanged views on regional and international developments and discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation between Pakistan and Bahrain.

Bahrain’s foreign minister appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability.

The two sides also reaffirmed their commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation and maintaining close coordination at both bilateral and multilateral forums.

The meeting underscored the importance attached by Pakistan and Bahrain to strengthening their longstanding relations and enhancing cooperation on issues of mutual interest.
