Pakistan Foils Afghan Taliban Infiltration Attempt in Chaman Sector

CHAMAN: Pakistan’s security forces have foiled an attempted cross-border incursion in the Chaman sector, responding to what security sources described as aggression from the Afghan Taliban regime.

According to security sources, Afghan Taliban personnel attempted to enter Pakistani territory and carry out an act of aggression in the border area.

Security Forces Deliver Strong Response

Security forces responded promptly to the firing and thwarted the attempted infiltration, the sources said.

The Pakistani forces also used quadcopter surveillance and mortar fire against positions used by the Afghan Taliban regime, according to the security sources.

The sources said several Afghan Taliban personnel were killed during the retaliatory action.

Afghan Taliban Positions Targeted

According to the security sources, Pakistani forces targeted and destroyed positions used by the Afghan Taliban regime during the response.

The operation prevented the attempted incursion and disrupted what security sources described as an effort to enter Pakistani territory.

Dawn, citing state media and security sources, also reported that several Afghan Taliban fighters were killed after an attempted act of aggression in Balochistan’s Gulistan sector.

Pakistan Maintains Border Readiness

Security sources said Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully prepared to respond to any infiltration or hostile activity originating from Afghan territory.

They said security forces would continue to protect Pakistan’s territorial integrity and respond to cross-border threats whenever required.

The latest incident comes amid continuing security tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
