Trump Offers China US Weapons, Ambassador Says

US President Donald Trump offered Chinese President Xi Jinping the opportunity to purchase American-made weapons, US Ambassador to China David Perdue has said.

Speaking to Fox News, Perdue said Trump asked Xi whether China was interested in buying weapons from the United States.

The ambassador did not provide further details about the proposed arms sales or Beijing’s response to the reported offer.
