Pezeshkian Says Iran Cannot Be Defeated Through War

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said the United States and Israel have realized that Iran cannot be forced to surrender through war or military action.

According to Iran’s state news agency IRNA, Pezeshkian said the two countries were now trying to increase divisions and disagreements inside Iran.

He stressed the need for national unity, solidarity and cooperation among different groups in the country. He said Iran’s opponents had failed to defeat the country through military action and were now seeking to weaken it by creating internal divisions.

Pezeshkian also called for people from different sections of society to be involved in the country’s administration. He said maintaining unity and cooperation was important in the current situation.

The Iranian president has previously said that foreign pressure and military action cannot force Iran to surrender. During the UN General Assembly in New York in September, he said Iran had deep historical roots and could not be destroyed by any power.

His latest comments come amid ongoing military tensions between Iran, the United States and Israel.
