Pakistan’s Textile Exports Rise to $17.93 Billion in FY2026

Pakistan’s textile industry continued to play a major role in the country’s export sector, with textile exports reaching $17.93 billion during the financial year 2025-26.
According to provisional data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, textile exports increased marginally from around $17.88 billion in the previous financial year. The annual growth was recorded at about 0.26 percent.
The performance was supported by higher shipments of value-added products. Readymade garment exports rose 3.87 percent to around $4.29 billion, while cotton yarn exports increased 12.4 percent to approximately $765 million.
Textile exports also recorded growth at the beginning of the new financial year. During July and August 2026, Pakistan’s textile exports increased 5.55 percent year-on-year to $3.379 billion, compared with $3.202 billion during the same period of FY2025-26.
The two-month increase was supported by stronger exports of knitwear, ready-made garments, towels and cotton yarn. Ready-made garment exports rose 13.59 percent during the period, while cotton yarn exports increased 34.8 percent.
The figures indicate continued activity in Pakistan’s textile export sector, although the annual increase in FY2025-26 remained modest and several major textile categories recorded declines.
