Fazlur Rehman Conveys Govt Offer to PTI, Emergency Meeting Called

After meeting with a government delegation, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman contacted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and conveyed the government’s offer to the party.

Political activities have increased following the meeting between the government delegation and Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

Sources said that government representatives Rana Sanaullah, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq and Tariq Fazal Chaudhry met Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Wednesday. They discussed the country’s political situation.

During the meeting, Maulana Fazlur Rehman advised the government to resolve all issues through understanding and dialogue instead of imposing Governor’s Rule or an emergency.

The government then asked Maulana Fazlur Rehman to play a role in bringing the sides closer through negotiations.

Following his telephone contact with PTI, the party immediately called an emergency meeting. The meeting is currently being held on Zoom and is attended by the party’s central leadership.

The meeting will discuss the government’s offer and decide PTI’s future course of action.
