Mohsin Naqvi Vows Focused Development, Modern Weapons for KP Police

Naqvi said the police must be provided with modern weapons and stressed the need to strengthen institutions to combat terrorism. He called for special attention to areas affected by terrorism and said development strategies would be formulated in consultation with local representatives to ensure that regional needs and public concerns were addressed effectively.

Rejecting claims that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had been divided, the interior minister said no new province or administrative unit had been created. He described such claims as propaganda and reiterated that the province would continue to function as a single administrative unit. Naqvi said the government’s focus remained on resolving public problems, improving security and promoting development through coordinated efforts among relevant institutions.
