Pakistan Army assist civilian govt thru joint patrols and joint check posts on entries points.

Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) said that Pakistan Army troops are assisting Federal and Provincial administrations in ensuring enforcement measures for containment of COVID-19.

The army focus on Public Safety.

According to ISPR, army troops have been deployed across the country in aid of civil power under article 245.

The statement noteed manning and monitoring all points of entries with establishment of joint Check Posts.

Pak army is also conducting joints patrolling with other Law Enforcement Agencies, effectively.


Contact tracking, tracing to identify and isolate suspected individuals is being done to ensure containment of COVID-19 spread.


Army troops are also assisting in management of quarantine facilities. A total of 182 quarantine facilities have been established across the country.

Meanwhile, confirmed Coronavirus cases in Pakistan rise to 1408.

The total number of confirmed Coronavirus cases in the country has reached 1408.

According to latest statistics, there are 490 coronavirus patients in Punjab, 457 in Sindh, 180 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 133 in Balochistan, 107 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 39 in Islamabad and two in Azad Kashmir.

Twenty-five Coronavirus patients have recovered so far while eleven died of the disease. Seven patients are in critical condition.
