The meeting of federal cabinet continues in Islamabad till the filing of this report .

It is discussing the situation arising out of the coronavirus including its impact on the country’s economy and the poor people.

It will also dilate upon the steps taken by the government to check the coronavirus in the country.

Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Pakistan has risen to 1865.

These include 652 cases in Punjab, 627 in Sindh while 221 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 153 Balochistan.

Moreover, 148 cases reported in Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad 58 and six in Azad Kashmir.

Fifty- eight people have so far recovered from the disease whilst the number of deaths from the virus stands at twenty five.

On the other hand, Rescue 1122 has provided coronavirus protective kits and equipment to quarantine centers across the In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

According to Director General Rescue 1122 Dr. Khateer Ahmad, the rescue service has shifted more than one-thousand suspected patients to the quarantine centers so far.

He said an anti-germs spray campaign is underway across the province to control the spread of this epidemic.

Meanwhile, twenty-nine new corona cases have been reported across the province.
